One thing I’ve noticed is that a lot of campers, particularly new ones couldn’t tell you the difference between DC and AC power, and that you can’t generate solar power in the shade.

I have yet to try dry camping. Living in Florida, AC is a must. As you said need to check the weather!!
I want to try it, but want to go with a seasoned fellow camper to learn even more tips, especially with the solar and battery backup. I’m a “visual “ learner.

I prefer State Parks bc it offers nature and sites have electric and water or just electric. Kind gives me the best of both worlds.
